CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Jamie Lundmark scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period and Miikka Kiprusoff won his franchise-record 40th game in the Calgary Flames' 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Friday night. Starting for the 19th time in 20 games, Kiprusoff made 21 saves to eclipse the record of 39 wins set by Mike Vernon in the 1987-88 season. The first-place Flames lead Edmonton by six points in the Northwest Division race and Colorado by seven. The loss eliminated the Wild from the postseason chase. Matthew Lombardi and Tony Amonte did the hard work on the winning goal, digging behind the net. Amonte centered a pass to an open Lundmark, who one-timed a shot from the slot past goaltender Manny Fernandez with 5:20 remaining. Amonte opened the scoring for Calgary in the second minute of the first period with his first goal since Jan. 14. His centering pass was deflected into the Minnesota net by Wild forward Wes Walz. Amonte didn't complain since the goal ended his 32-game drought. Amonte has been one of the better Flames forwards recently as he notched six assists in his previous eight games. The Wild tied it at 8:31 of the third period when Brian Rolston scored his team-leading 33rd goal while Minnesota was playing short-handed. Fernandez started for the 15th time in 16 games and finished with 27 saves.
